Resize images in seconds
Change the size of one image or a whole batch: pick a preset like 1080 px for Instagram, a percentage, or an exact width. The aspect ratio is always kept.
Private: your images are processed on your device and never uploaded.
How to resize an image
- Add images. Drag them in, click to choose or paste.
- Pick a size. Choose a preset, a percentage or “Exact width” and type the pixels you need.
- Download. Resized images keep their format unless you choose another, ready to download individually or as a ZIP.
Common image sizes
| Website full-width image | 1920 px wide |
| Blog or article image | 1200–1600 px wide |
| Instagram post | 1080 px wide |
| Email attachment / newsletter | 800–1200 px wide |
| Profile picture / avatar | 400–512 px |
| Thumbnail | 150–300 px |
Resizing is the single biggest way to cut file size: halving the width removes about three quarters of the pixels. Combine it with a target size such as “Under 200 KB” for upload forms.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing distort my image?
No. The aspect ratio is always kept, so images are never stretched or squashed.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes. Choose “Exact width” and enter a larger number. Enlarging cannot add detail, so very large enlargements may look soft.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every image is processed inside your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing is sent over the internet, which also makes it fast and safe for private photos.
Is it really free? Are there limits?
Yes. It’s free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Your own device does the work, so there is no server cost per image.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Chromebook. You can also add it to your home screen and use it offline.
